ABA helps people increase their skill acquisitions and finding a replacement for maladaptive behaviors. By doing this the clients become more independent in their everyday life.
The mission of the Early Intervention Program is to identify and evaluate as early as possible those infants and toddlers whose healthy development is compromised and provide for proper intervention for the Child to be able to develop. Early Interventions do not require a diagnosis until the age of 3.
This program has been created to provide training to clients who need to become independent, increase social skills, and become more aware of their environment. The goal of the AST program is to create skills to promote self-awareness and be independent.
These groups are designed to teach clients how to interact appropriately with their peers and develop life-lasting friendships. The purpose is to develop social skills, gain stimulus control over emotions, handle problems more smoothly, and be able to be social independently. All of our social groups are via-telehealth
This is designed so parents understand different interventions based on the principle of ABA they can use with their children.
Every child is different, so all parent training is individualized to their child. VSBS also teaches (functions) “why” the child acts a certain way and how to address it
VSBS has a clinical team to assist clients in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to enhance their learning experience in school and assist families to understand the terminology used in school. This way, the families are involved with all decisions in the school their child is attending.
